In addition to movie flyers and magazine advertising Nikkatsu also
produced a series of glossy hardbound books called Roman Books.

The books measured about 6 inches by 8.5 inches. I don’t know how many were produced but I have found covers for 14 volumes. Each book had articles on 13 films. From the sample pages someone posted I’m guessing that each article included a poster, various pictorial spreads and scenes from the film. The tagline “Entertainment for Men” seems like it was copied from Playboy.
