Advertising Endless Desire

Nikkatsu made and or distributed, on average, about 64 films a year between 1972 and 1987. To promote these films and the actresses that starred in them a lot of advertising was created. In addition to newspaper ads, calendars, pin-up posters, magazine pictorials and articles they also produced ads that look somewhat like a catalog. But unlike catalogs advertising VHS’s and DVD’s these ads were promoting the Nikkatsu brand. They highlighted their large stable of beautiful actresses and their vast catalog of films. These types of ads were also used to announce new films and upcoming new actresses.

This is looks like anniversary article on what former
actresses are now doing after starring in Nikkatsu films.
